Secure me as your wedding photographer as soon as possible – but no less than four (4) weeks out. It usually takes approximately a month to scout locations, work out the timetable and ensure that we are on the same page about the shoot. It takes time for all this back-and-forth discussion.
I am. I will happily travel to your wedding up to a 50km radius of Mackay at no additional charge. Small charges will apply for weddings outside of the 50km radius. Please discuss this with me when you make your initial inquiry.
I will endeavour to have your wedding photos to you within two (2) weeks of the shoot: so before you get back from your honeymoon!
The wedding photography package includes all the photos I take on your wedding day. They will be professionally edited, high-resolution digital photos, and if required, I will also make them social media size.
A deposit is paid to secure the booking for your wedding day. And the full payment is required two (2) weeks before the event.
A full refund will be provided for bookings cancelled within 60 days of the wedding. If you cancel within 14 days, half of the deposit will be held. For full terms and conditions, please refer to your contract.
A furnished home presents better in photos. So, if possible, leave a few select items of furniture. These help buyers gauge the size of a room and help humanise a home.
Artwork is a yes and colour helps add life to the images. But, for privacy reasons, I advise against leaving your photos or identifying items in your home during a photoshoot.
I am a freelance photographer so I can do photos for a private property sale. I also work with many Mackay Real Estate agents.
For end of year award ceremonies and team photo days, I would recommend booking as soon as possible. The team photo days take a lot of coordination, especially for larger clubs, so the more time we have to prepare the better. For carnivals, I also recommend contacting me as soon as you know the date, particularly for winter sports as these often coincide with wedding season.
Family and group photos can be taken anywhere – indoor or outdoor. My first recommendation is always to shoot somewhere which has meaning to you. If you can’t think of anywhere, I will offer suggestions.
I don’t mind what you wear. However, I advise against wearing stripes as they can look distorted in photos. For a bit of symmetry, I recommend the group where complementary colours, but not to go too ‘matchy-matchy’ – you aren’t a bunch of twins trying to look alike! If you want to express your personality through your wardrobe, I welcome it. However, just ensure that whatever you wear is a contrast against the backdrop, so you don’t look washed out or fade into the background.
This is something I will clarify in a consultation. However, the short answer is whoever you like – within reason. My standard price for family photos only includes one family unit/household. However, if you want extended family involved in the photoshoot, we can arrange that, and I will provide a quote for the additional members.
Yes, we can include pets, so long as they are allowed on the premises and aren’t too disruptive. We don’t want your pets to ruin the experience or photos, so if they are obedient, they are most welcome to come along for the photoshoot.
I always start with a questionnaire followed by the initial consultation. I find that this process allows my clients to get to know me and feel comfortable with their choice. It also helps us get on the same page about the shoot expectations.
